He was predeceased by: his wife Virginia Ann "Jean" Pstaszkiewicz (Russman); his great grandchild Alaynna; his parents, Frank Ptaszkiewicz and Jenny Ptaszkiewicz (Koniecki); and his siblings, Joanne Ptaszkiewicz, Joe Ptaszkiewicz (Wilma), Franny Yantz (Jack), Florence Kowalski (John), Harry Ptaszkiewicz, Frank Ptaszkiewicz, Jr., Robbie, Dorothy and Joan "Joanne" Gromek (Walt).
He is survived by: his children, Mitchell J. "Mickey" Ptaszkiewicz (Carol), Frank E. Ptaszkiewicz and Michelle "Shelly" Ptaszkiewicz (late Tony Chiarelli); his grandchildren, Jeremy Ptaszkiewicz (Gen), Jamie Ptaszkiewicz, Brittany Thorpe, Alicia (Ryan Fischbach), Kaylee Bleil (Grant), Lindsay Brady (Bill) and Mitch Ptaszkiewicz, III (Courtney); his great grandchildren, Camden, Alexa, Danika, Cayson, Desiree, Breanna, Madison, Mila, Makena, Melina, Bobbie, Olivia, Easton, Savannah, Zander and Marlea "Jean"; and his caregivers, Marlene Masucci, Nikki, Danielle and Alexis. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church (57 21st St, Pittsburgh, PA 15220). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at the St. Michael Cemetery (2729 S 18th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15210).
