He was predeceased by: his sister Anne. He is survived by: his wife Mary B. Winter (Gibson); his children, Mary Zambito (Charles), Christian Winter, Gregory Winter (Michelle), Laura Riley (Sean), Suzanne Duer (Mike), Andrew Winter (Eugenia) and Elisabeth Smallwood (Mark); and his siblings, MaryAnn, Grace, Dorothy, Florence, Cassie, Barb, George and Cecelia. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to People Concerned for the Unborn Child or Angels' Place.
