He was predeceased by: his brother David Connolly; and his parents, Thomas Connolly and Lois Connolly. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Connolly (Werwie); his children, Sean (Sarah), Justin and Chris Connolly; and his brothers, Tom (Donna) and Jack (Patti).

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to CORE, 204 Sigma Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
