He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sam Savage and Jolan "Yetta" Savage; his children, Adina Cohen (Brad) and Daniel Savage (Angelina); his grandchildren, Frank, Nora and Sophia Cohen; his siblings, Faye Unger (Leslie) and Eugene Savage (Michelle); and his aunt Marlene Lebovitz. He was also cherished by his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Although still enjoying his place at the synagogue, when the pandemic no longer allowed for daily minyanim, he retired.
