We bid farewell to Richard John Fitzgerald of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 8, 2026 at the age of 90. Richard touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his sons, John and Timothy; his parents, Milton and Mary; and his brothers, James, William, Patrick and Robert.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Richard (Cathy), Kathleen (Art Rowland), Dennis (Kathleen) and Kevin (Amy Kunkle); his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Erin, Caroline, Tanner, Madeline, Louisa, Mara, Jackson, Aidan, Emma, Connor, Megan, Maren and Joshua; his great grandchildren, Nellie, Finn and Theodore; and his sister Geraldine (Jones).

He was also very proud of an award he received from the Central Blood Bank in 2002 for donating in excess of 215 units of whole blood and 79 units to the apheresis program over many years.
