He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Herchenroether and Nell Herchenroether (Young); and his brother Daniel Herchenroether. He is survived by: his wife Susan Herchenroether; his children, Adam Herchenroether (Rachel) and Rebecca Nelson (Daniel); his granddaughter Hazel Nelson; his brother Peter Herchenroether (Susan); his siblings-in-law, Wendy Herchenroether and Bill Uhl (Linda); and his nieces and nephews, Greg Herchenroether, Emily Holtzheimer (Ernie), Ben Herchson (Katy), Amy Herchenroether, Christopher Uhl (Maria) and Ben Uhl (Rana).
