He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Hezekiah Nicklos and Arlene Douglas; his wife Patricia Nicklos; and his siblings, Yvonne "Bonnie" Larkins, Jean Douglas and Robert E. Nicklos.

He is survived by: his stepson Eric S. Nicklos (Solveig); his son Richard R. J.; his granddaughter London; his sister-in-law Lee Nicklos; his sibling's children, Rae Nicklos, Terria Stubblefield (Randall), Charlotte Mathis, Tisha Stratford (Darius) and Charles Morris III; and his godson Duane Morris (family: Denise Shealy). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Viewing was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the House of Law, Inc. (2555 Haymaker Rd, Monroeville, PA 15146). A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Homewood Cemetery (1599 S Dallas Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217).
