Richard Portis Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Richard Portis (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Richard touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Bethel AME Church (2720 Webster Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15219). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at the Church Order Flowers (1158 Morgan Rd, Bridgeville, PA 15017).
