He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Nikki Frisco Schmitt; his sons, Richard Schmitt (Karen) and Christopher Schmitt; his stepchildren, Kelly Collison (Tim), Heather Harrington (Rob), Ainslee Atkins and Cali Ficorilli; and his brothers, David Schmitt (Barbara), John Schmitt (Marie) and Larry Schmitt. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
