With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Rita G. Shaw (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Rita left this world on June 22, 2025 at the age of 97, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Michael Lubawski and Genevieve Lubawski (Melczak); and her husband George T. Shaw. She is survived by: her children, George, Tom (Jan), Bob Shaw and Donna Cully (Ron); and her grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah, Leland, John, Michael and Matthew.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John J. Gmiter Funeral Home (119 S 15th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mary Queen of Peace Parish (St. Adalbert Catholic Church) (160 S 15th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203).
