He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora Cohn and Harry Cohn; his sister Tela Kingley (Harry); his children, Heidi Leventhal (Kenneth), Michelle Seideman (Neal), Debra Cohn, Jamie Henderson (Charlie), Abby Weinberg (Jonathan), Lee Terkel (Beth), David Terkel (Susannah) and Naomi Wilkinson (Anthony); his grandchildren, Brian (Nicole), Jeremiah, Emily Leventhal, Alexandra, Samuel, Benjamen Seideman, Brooke, Elise Cohn, Emery, Olivia Henderson, Jacob, Noah, Ari, Amelia Terkel and Adam Wilkinson; and his great grandchild Audrey Leventhal.
He is survived by: his wife Michelle Cohn (Shelley); and his brother-in-law Sanford Lewis (Bonnie).
