He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley "Boots" Sable (Weber); his son Robert Michael; and his parents, Joseph Sable and Agnes Sable (Finnegan). He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Sandra Lee Sable; his siblings, Kathleen, Thomas, Donald, James and Joseph; his children, John "Jack" Joseph Sable, Cheryl Ann Sudor and Edward Steven Sable (Meagan); his grandchildren, Samantha Livingston, Lauren Renee Sudor (Brian), Paige Elizabeth Sable Baker (Isaac), Robert "Bobby" Michael Sable III (Alison) and Matthew Alan Sable; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Gregory Hughes, Marley Renee Hughes, Caleb James Sable Baker and Robert Michael Sable IV. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A prayer was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Albert the Great Church (3198 Schieck St, Pittsburgh, PA 15227).
