With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert W. Thumpston Sr. (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 27, 2025 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his wife Rosemary J. Thumpston; his son Charles Thumpston; and his brothers, James Thumpston and Ronald Thumpston. He is survived by: his children, Dennis Thumpston, Robert Thumpston, Jr. and Rosemary Vojtecky (Martin); and his grandchildren, Jenna Daas (Rider) and Charles R. Vojtecky.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Thomas J. Gmiter Funeral Home, Inc. (2323 E Carson St, Pittsburgh, PA 15203). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
