With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rudolph Stolar of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 5, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Stolar and Frank Stolar; his siblings, Helen Pfenninger, Frank Jr., Rosemarie Meyers, Irene Spath, George, Henry, Daniel and James; his wives, Sylvia Stolar (Zielinski) and Norine Stolar (Gabert); and his grandson David.

He is survived by: his brother Tom; his children, Gerard Stolar (Rebecca), Patricia Demharter (late Richard), David Stolar (Kelly) and Victoria Kaminski (Scott); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Sabastian, Gregory, Michael, Nicholas, Kaeli, Hayden, Evan and Nathan; and his great grandchildren, Reese, Deegan, Riley, Taylor, Elouise, Sylvia, Theodore and Remi.

“Rudy was one of a kind. A soft spoken man that hired me at Matthews graphic systems division when it was on West Liberty Avenue next to the Bronze plant. I worked for Matthew’s for nearly 40 years. He handled people as plant manager with kindness and in a highly professional way. God blessed him with a long and fruitful life, and a large and loving family. I’m sure there will be many former employees saying their goodbyes at the funeral home…..”
