Of Forest Hills, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 19, 2023, in Greensburg. Mother of Leonard B. Morgan, III (Deborah) of Export, David A. Morgan (Mary) of Pittsburgh, and Ronald F. Morgan (Halee) of Oakland Park, FL. Grandmother of Melissa Ardis (Will), Matthew A. Morgan (Chrissi), Carrie Libengood (Todd), Hope Styons (Donnie), Tom Young (Shannon), Jennifer Leahew (Paul), Jessica Mellors (Ted), Robert Morgan, Brooke Gedrick (Beau), Ashley Caruso (Scott), Allison Morgan, Stephen Morgan, and Erin Morgan. Great-grandmother of Kaitlyn Ardis, Graydon Ardis, Tanner Ardis, Julianna Frick (Neil), Mackenzie Libengood, Allison Styons, Zachary Styons, Steven Styons, Haley Young, Ben Young, Dylan Young, Bryce Gedrick, Briley Gedrick, Caleb Caruso, Elijah Caruso, Benjamin Caruso, Mariah Leahew, Austin Leahew, and Cris Morgan. Sister of Curtis H. Staab of Pittsburgh. Preceded in death by her husband, Leonard B. “Buzz” Morgan, Jr.; her daughters Mary W. Morgan and Curtis Helen Morgan; her parents, Curtis H. and Winifred Kelly Cogswell; and her sisters, Winifred Breisch, Mary Elizabeth Cogswell, Margaret Dillion, and Ora Mae Hoetzlein. Ruth was a member of St. Maurice Church in Forest Hills. She was a devout and devoted woman of faith, and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who lived for her family. Born November 21, 1932

Friends will be received on Thursday from 1-3 and 5-7pm at Wolfe Memorial, LLC, Forest Hills Chapel, 3604 Greensburg Pike, Pittsburgh PA 15221. Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:30am in St. Maurice Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Burial in William Penn Cemetery. Ruth’s family is grateful for the wonderful care she received from AHN Hospice and The Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh.
