We announce the death of Sandra Masdea (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), who passed away on September 4, 2026, at the age of 79. Sandra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her son William Masdea; her parents, Norman Schmidt and Sarah Schmidt; her siblings, Eileen Schmidt, Gary Schmidt, Norman Schmidt, Margaret Glotzbach, Elaine Marcus and Lorraine Cotter; and her uncle William Settelmaier.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald (Jennifer) and Jason; her grandchildren, William, Jonathan, Mark, Amanda, Tyler, Briar and Brannon Masdea; her great grandchild Bayler Masdea; and her siblings, Larry Schmidt (Marie) and Kimberly Zorn (David).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John F. Slater Funeral Home, Inc. (4201 Brownsville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15227). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM.
