He was predeceased by: his parents, Meyer Gerson and Sylvia Gerson; and his stepmother Lucille Gerson. He is survived by: his children, Synthia Gerson (Eric Casaburro) and Laura Silverman (Phillip); his siblings, Dr. Larry Gerson (Barbara) and Rose Gerson (Irwin Harris); his grandchildren, Addison, Cameron, Ari Silverman and Ian Casaburro; and his stepsiblings, Rabbi Norman Cohen (Andrea), Marilyn Lipson (Jerry), Mila Paul (Andy) and Larry Cohen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
