She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Chope and Emma Chope; and her sister Eva Chope. She is survived by: her husband Ronald Sofo; and her brother Ed Chope (Fran Reese-Chope). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pittsburgh Humane Society, or the Pittsburgh Food Bank.
