He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bahney and Rose Bahney; and his wife Judy Bahney. He is survived by: his siblings, Patricia, William and Kathy; his children, Thomas (Melinda), Michael (Kim), Claire (Kevin), Richard and Jackie (Chris); and his grandchildren, Julia, Dylan, Alex, Ryan and Richie. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
