She was predeceased by: her parents, Christine V. Gardner (Jackson) and Robert H. Gardner (Godfrey); and her brothers, Robert, Thomas and Victor.
She is survived by: her significant other Robert Mano White; her daughters, Carla, Camille and Christine White; and her niece Darnell Maria Gardner. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
