He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. George L. Hoffmann and Dorothy Hurlock Hoffmann; his brother Dr. George L Hoffmann; and his stepbrother Curtis W. Magee. He is survived by: his wife Juliann T. Hoffmann (Julie); his daughter Ann Scully (Tom Scully); his grandchildren, William H. Hoffmann Jr. (Jodi E. Hoffmann), Willam H. Hoffmann, III (Ada Peters), Charles Hoffmann, Sarah Scully Vaughn (Taylor Vaughn), Julia Scully Carroll (Chad Carroll) and Alexa Scully; and his great grandchild Carter Vaughn.
