He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta; his grandson Noah; his parents, Berthold Tiegel and Hazel Runkle Tiegel; and his sister Regina Tiegel Brendel.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Morella (Jeff), Regina Cornett (Paul Bowden) and Heidi Surman (Dave); his grandchildren, Stephen Morella (Tiffany), Gabrielle Morella (Stephen Bezak), Jacob Morella (Hevyn), Abigail, Jason, Hannah and Ian; and his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Arthur, William, Theodore and Franklin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St Joseph Church - Christ the King Parish, 342 Dorseyville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15215, In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Bill's name to the American Medical Association (https://amafoundation.org) (AMA) to assist future physicians in economic need.
