He was predeceased by: his parents, Clement Patrick and Julia Patrick (Yanchulis); his wife Sharon Patrick (Goodrich); his son Keith Bartel; and his siblings, Suzanne Bird, Wayne, James and Jerry Patrick.
He is survived by: his sons, Scott Bartel of Lockport, NY and Kevin Bartel (Toni) of Celina, TX; his sisters, Lori Patrick of Albany, NY and Kathy Rybarczyk of Niagara Falls, NY; and his grandchildren, Robert Bartel of Warren, PA, Kristy Wiegand (Micah) of Spokane, WA, Laurel Bartel of Las Vegas, NV, Ashley Bartel of Lockport, NY, Josh Perkins (Lauren) of Anna, TX and Tiffany Gonzales of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
