He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel and Grace (Miraglia); and his brother Louis. He is survived by: his wife Catherine (Markowsky); his son Carl Scarantino (Shelly); his grandchildren, Nikki Scarantino-Pippin (McKinley), Kristopher Yatko, Justen Yatko (Siobhan), Rachelle Yatko, Jaysen Yatko, Jamie Scarantino and Ashley Norris (Matt); his sister-in-law Lois Smith (Gene); and his nephew Michael Smith.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adonizio Funeral Home (251 William St, Pittston, PA 18640). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Joseph Marello Parish (237 William St, Pittston, PA 18640).
