He was predeceased by : his parents, Michael Sarf and Jennie Matteucci Sarf; his wife Grace Marie Melone Sarf; and his siblings, Mildred Barber and Peter Sarf.

He is survived by : his son Michael W. Sarf (Christine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Joseph's Center in Scranton.
