As we bid farewell to this luminous soul, let his loved ones carry forward the torch of his memory, illuminating the path ahead with the warmth of his love and the brilliance of his spirit. Though Lester may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, his essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Day and Myrtle Gensler (Wiley); and his sons, Edward E. Day and Dennis A. Day. He is survived by: his wife Donna M. Shughart Day; his daughter Barbara A. (Brad Hoover); his daughter-in-law Kimberly Day; and his grandchildren, Matthew Day and Morgan Manning.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the West Pennsboro Fire Department (20 Park Rd, West Pennsboro Township, PA 17081). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, November 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Pennsboro Fire Co. or to St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2070 Newville Rd, Plainfield, PA 17081.
