The family announces the passing of David L. Allen of Plains Township, Pennsylvania on September 5, 2026. David, born on March 24, 1947, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
David will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor David by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though David is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. David’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Allen (Marchetti); his sons, David Jr. of Mountain Top and Mark (Louise); his granddaughters, Lucy and Sophie of Havertown; his brother John Allen III (Smack) of Wilkes-Barre; his sister-in-law Deborah Burton (Ottis) of Phoenix Arizona; and his close friend Karen Steber. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the E. Blake Collins Funeral Home (159 George Ave, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705).
