It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis J. Sott of Plains Township, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 27, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Jacob F. Sott and Helen Sott (Danko); his wife Renate Schmidt; his children, Lou Anne Evans and Michael Burke; and his brothers, Jacob Sott, Jr. and Walter Sott.

He is survived by : his sister Dorothy Ostrowski; his granddaughters, Nicole Evans (Joseph Kulesza) and Michelle Evans; his great grandchildren, Maddie Evans and Brynlee O'Boyle; and his caregiver Anita Baldoni (Teclo). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
