He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry R. Speer and Helen Speer (Ward). He is survived by: his children, Suzanne M. Swart (Shawn Burke) of Montrose and Michael J. Speer of Pleasant Gap; his grandchildren, Kaylee Swart and R. Joseph Swart; and his great grandchild Matthias. He is also survived by one niece and several great nieces and nephews.
