He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Frenchie" Thal, Sr. and Marie Smead Thal; his siblings, Lawrence "Sonny" Thal, Jr., Philip Thal and Gertrude McGowan; and his former wife Joanne B. Thal.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary Jo Livergood (Larry) of Pleasant Gap; his close friend Francis Shook of Spring Mills; and his pet Zoey.
