We announce the death of Matilda Lockard of Pleasant Gap, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 90. Matilda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Burkhard and Elvira Burkhard (Pantano); her husband Philip H. Lockard; her daughter Pamela Strouse; and her siblings, Philip, Gene, Anthony, Connie and Catherine.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Hallahan (Joseph) and Timothy Lockard (Carol); her grandchildren, Jared Hallahan (Nicole), Shawn Hallahan (Heather), Christine Lockard, Kurtis Strouse (Kelly) and Logan Strouse (Brooke); her siblings, Rose Burkhard and Donald Burkhard; Scott Strouse. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (134 E Bishop St, Bellefonte, PA 16823).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tillie to The Oaks in Pleasant Gap, 200 Rachel Drive, Pleasant Gap, PA 16823.
