He was predeceased by : his parents, John C. Lewis and Sarah E. Lewis (Grimes). He is survived by : his wife Judy Lewis (Grotefend); his children, Robin Haines (Paul) of Indiana, PA and J. C. Lewis (Karen) of Raleigh, NC; and his grandchildren, Jordan, Casey Haines, Callie Jellots, Koutnaye and Haley Lewis. He is also survived by his seven great-grandchildren; and also nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in his name should be made to either the Light of Life Rescue Mission, 234 Voeghtly St., Pittsburgh, PA 15212 or the Indiana County Humane Society, 191 Airport Rd., Indiana, PA 15701.
