He was predeceased by : his parents, Anthony Severyn and Louise Mikulic Severyn; and his siblings, Stan, Chet, Hank, Ted, Tony, Fred Severyn, Jean Piechnick, Josephine Seward, Louise Cimino, Virginia Mack and Florence DuCharme.

He is survived by : his wife Marcella Hornbake; his children, Linda Myers (Mark Nickolls), Donald Severyn and Bryan Severyn (Colleen); and his grandsons, Derek and Wyatt Severyn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

If desired his family suggests donations in Walter's name be made to The Sisters of the Devine Redeemer, 999 Rock Run Road, Elizabeth, Pennsylvania 15037.
