He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Edward and Mary Ellen Beatty (Smitley); and his siblings, Kate Brown, Dorothy Byrne, Valetta Brown, Leona David, James, Robert, Gene Beatty and Charles.

He is survived by : his wife Margery Lee Beatty (Beach); his children, Julie (Greg Commodore), Joseph (Trudy Beatty) and Scott (Kelly Beatty); and his grandchildren, Jason Beatty (Laine), Patrick, Kate, Joseph, Connor and Tessa Beatty. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.
