He is survived by: his wife Merrill; his children, Deanna Thompson (Jeremy) of Pt, Robert Paul Balderson, II (Leshia) of Pt and Tara Laine Taylor (Jonathan) of Pt; and his close friend Jack. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren knew him as Papa, and nieces, nephews and their children.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Herod-Rishel Funeral Home (501 Morgantown St, Point Marion, PA 15474). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sparta Cemetery (32 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871).
