He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hangey and Mary Hangey (Knapp); his grandson Jason R. Hittner; and his siblings, David, Shirley Ann Maersch and Elizabeth Mae Shellenberger.
He is survived by: his wife RoseMarie Hangey (Falenchak) of Kunkletown, PA; his children, Lisa Gibson (Gregory) of Stroudsburg, PA, Susan Hittner (Joseph) of Palmerton, PA, Robert Knapp (Lisa) of Fernandina Beach, FL and Richard Knapp (Kelly) of Coopersburg, PA.; his grandchildren, Chris Knapp (Jennifer), Andrea Heller (Ron), Alex James Hartzel Knapp, Jennifer Knapp, Atalie Knapp-Lichniak, Alexis Hittner Bartholomew (James Gioia), Charissa Giblson (Martin Mehlig) and Garhett Gibson; his great grandchildren, Ty Knapp, Grant Manmiller, Chase Manmiller, Dylan Jason Bartholomew (Gianna Kintz), Matthew Joseph Bartholomew, Ava Rose Fischetti and Aubri Irene Duben; and his siblings, John L. Hangey of Arlington Heights, IL and Mary Lou Delp of Pottstown, PA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
