She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Paul Schoenly and Lillie Mae Schoenly (Buchert); her sons, Matthew Hillegas (Beth Capperella) and Michael Hillegas (Michelle); her siblings, Ruth Stauffer (Garrett), David Schoenly and Mary Murrow; and her grandchildren, Lindsay Hillegas, Emily Hillegas (Michael Campbell), Chad Hillegas, Morgan Wagner (Zach) and Marissa Hillegas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Catagnus Funeral Home (1020 E Philadelphia Ave, Gilbertsville, PA 19525). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Boyertown Athletics (https://www.boyertownasd.org.) in Barbara's name.
