A man of many talents and passions, James was an artist, musician and singer whose creativity brought joy to those around him. He was also an avid fisherman, sports fan and golfer who enjoyed both the peace of the water and the excitement of competition and camaraderie.
James was a dedicated and highly respected employee of Mrs. Smith’s Pies in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, where he worked for more than 40 years. His strong work ethic, loyalty and character earned the admiration of his colleagues and all who knew him.
Above all, James will be remembered for the life he shared with his family and the many ways he expressed himself through art, music and song. He will also be remembered for his unique sense of humor, which had a special way of bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. His creativity, dedication, humor and love for his family will live on in the generations he leaves behind.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched.
In his memory, James’s family is donating a memorial bench at Riverfront Park, near the kayak launch at 140 College Drive in Pottstown. Overlooking the river, it will provide a lasting place for family, friends and members of the community to pause, reflect and enjoy the peace of the water he loved.
