It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Hoyt (Pottstown, Pennsylvania), who passed away on December 5, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis and Orletta Hoyt (Loyd). He is survived by: his children, J. Alexander "Alex" Hoyt (Kerri), Julie E. Cockrell (Tom) and Lauren M. Hoyt (Nora); his brother Kenneth L. Hoyt (Marcia); and his grandchildren, John Samuel "Sam" Hoyt, Reid Stanley Cockrell, Benjamin Francis Hoyt, Adeline Hutchinson Cockrell, Jacob Andrew "Jack" Hoyt and Harrison "Hank" Hoyt Landon.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home (955 N Charlotte St, Pottstown, PA 19464). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (750 N Evans St, Pottstown, PA 19464).
