Rita Lightcap Obituary

We are sad to announce that on October 15, 2021, at the age of 65, Rita Lightcap of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, born in Athens, Tennessee passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Lightcap to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Arvil E. Moses Sr. and Mildred Wise Moses; her uncle C. Walter Wise Sr. (Mildred Wall Wise); her grandparents, Charles Andrew Wise, Verdi Roberts Wise, David Moses and Hattie Lingerfelt Moses; and her brother Wesley Moses Roberts.

She is survived by: her sons, Ryan L. Lightcap (Stephanie Bean Lightcap) of Gilbertsville and Derek J. Lightcap of Pottstown; her granddaughters, Alexis, Sadie and Josephine Lightcap; and her brothers, Chuck Moses (Florinda) of Klamath Falls, OR, Toby Wise (Bonnie) of Royersford, PA and Todd Wise of Pottstown, PA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Rita was a proud 1973 graduate of Pottsgrove High School and later, as a parent, served as President of the Pottsgrove Booster Club, and was the President and a founding member of the Pottsgrove Education Foundation. Rita's philanthropic work included volunteering with The March of Dimes, Big brothers & Big Sisters of Philadelphia, The American Cancer Society, Hands Across America, and countless others.
