Verna Walters Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Verna Walters (Pottstown, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Walters; her siblings, John Ruoss and Vonda Weney; and her daughter Kay Takach of Pottstown. She is survived by: her children, Sue LaPlant (Joe) of Fountain Hill and Mark Walters of Oxford; and her grandchildren, Greg LaPlant (Rachael) of Rickman, Kelly, Josh Walters (Lori) of Annville and Heather Walters of Phoenixville. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Catagnus Funeral Home (711 N Franklin St, Pottstown, PA 19464). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shenkel United Church of Christ, 1580 Shenkel Rd. Pottstown PA 19465.
