He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Daniel Shuman and Betty Ossman Shuman. He is survived by: his sons, Dr. Christian Shuman (Erica) and Jonathon (Tandi); his grandchildren, Carson and Ava Shuman; his sons, McKinley and Avery Shuman; his former wives, Holly Barrett and Brenda Shuman; his close friend Alda Howells; his stepchildren, Patrick Kimmel and Elizabeth Kimmel; his siblings, Deborah Reed (Mark), Lisa Grabowski (Joe), Harold (JeanAnn), Kurt (Michelle) and Erik (Lisa); and his nephew Ossman. He is also survived by his family, friends, and neighbors.
Viewing was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (300 W Arch St, Pottsville, PA 17901). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Pottsville, Phoenix Park Community Fire Company, Pottsville Library, or the Schuylkill County Historical Society.
