We announce the death of Joan Marie Grapsy of Pottsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 93. Joan will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alex C. Kriston and Marion Kriston (Wineland); her husband Ramon Peter Grapsy; her brother Ronald C. Kriston; her daughter-in-law Elaine; and her grandson-in-law Mark.
She is survived by: her children, Ramon Grapsy (Helena) of Sebastian, Florida, Debra Ann Guers (Edward) of Pottsville, Michael Grapsy (Edith) of Macungie and Mark Grapsy (Elisabeth Wilson) of Grasonville, Maryland.; her grandchildren, Samantha, Rebecca, Edward, Casey, Taylor, Jillian, Raymond, Paige, Kaylee, Shane, Michael and Ava; and her sister-in-law Eleanor Kriston. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Church (913 Mahantongo St, Pottsville, PA 17901). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
