He is survived by: his wife Fang Lyu; his son Joshua Phipps (Bobbie Jo) of Harmony; his grandson Jaden Phipps; his stepdaughters, Hui Zi Jin of China and Yu Yan Ge of China; his brother James Phipps (Elena) of Virginia; and his sibling's children, Tyler Phipps and Kayla Phipps of New York.
