It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linnea Mae Smith of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 12, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Joseph "Hootie" Anderson and Arlene Vera Anderson (Pierce); her daughter Amber Pennington; and her brother-in-law Jack Friend (Larry Pennington). She is survived by: her husband D. Alan Smith; her children, Misty Kimmerle (Jeff) of Rossiter, Jared Pennington (Brittany) of Punxsutawney, Dr. Kelley Smith (Joe Ruscitti) of Rockton and Jodi Presloid (James) of Punxsutawney; her grandchildren, Faith, Gabriel Kimmerle, Maddox Wasicki, Whitlee, Waylon Pennington, Joey, Sam, Aly Ruscitti, Riley, Zach and Max Presloid; her sister Tationia "Shawnee"; her friend Rita Campagnola of DuBois; and her brother Joseph Anderson (Kathy) of Rossiter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A reception will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. (115 E Union St, Punxsutawney, PA 15767).
