He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Smith (DeFoor) and Harry Smith; and his brother Tom Smith (Carol). He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Smith (Bedell); his children, Rich (Tori) of Punxsutawney and Maureen; his grandchildren, Desiree Smathers (Kris), Josh Kerr and Timi Piatkowski; his great grandchildren, Lily Kerr, Olie and Hogan Smathers; his sister Rita (Jack Helms); and his nieces, Deneal Kennedy, Megan Diven and Ashley Snyder.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Deeley Funeral Home (33 Hillcrest Dr, Punxsutawney, PA 15767). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the SSCD Church.
