It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Meterko of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Grindle and Edna Olive Grindle (Pearce). She is survived by: her children, Timothy Meterko (Sherry), Todd Meterko (Kelli) of Punxsutawney and Terri Puleio (Sam) of Punxsutawney; her grandchildren, Sam Puleio (Devin) of Erie, Dean Puleio (Madeleine) of Frisco, Andrew Meterko (Lindsey) of Harrisburg, Jerad Meterko (Cassie) of Punxsutawney, Madeline Lettie (Darrin) of Indiana and Luke Meterko of Punxsutawney; and her sister Karol Goebel (Tom) of Raleigh. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Ginny's memory to Saints Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.
