He was predeceased by: his wife Mildred; and his sister Mary Alice Conrad (Schantz). He is survived by: his children, Thomas Schantz (Ann) and Connie Schantz; his grandchildren, Nicole Schieck (Josiah), Tad Schantz (Erin), Brandon Schantz (Lauren), Andrew Schantz and Chelsie King; and his great grandchildren, Callen, Riley Schantz, Millie and Eli Schieck.
