He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Ashton Sr. and Daisy Ashton (Smithey); and his in-laws, John Thompson Sr. and Billie Jean Thompson. He is survived by: his significant other Diana Thompson Ashton; his brother Larry Ashton; and his brothers-in-law, Walter Terry Thompson (Vanessa Thompson) and Ralph Gaymon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Calvary Church Care Ministry in Souderton, PA, a ministry that Emery devoted much of his time to and was extremely close to his heart.
