He was predeceased by: his parents, John McKean and Elva McKean; his sister Miriam Stumpo; his niece Megan Mealey; his great-nephew Jake Mealey; his great-niece Chelsea Brennan; and his brothers-in-law, Bernard Darragh, Charles McGuigan and Joseph McGuigan.
He is survived by: his wife Diana McKean; his children, Amanda Dean, Seth McKean (Jocelyn) and Amelia Fox (Zachary); his sister Grace Sterner (Charles); his sister-in-law Patricia Darragh; and his nieces and nephews, Colleen Kneib (Tom), Madeline Darragh, Andrea Stumpo, David Stumpo (Jackie), Lisa Brennan (Gary), Julie Leonard and Darah Sterner. He is also survived by his nine grandchildren.
